#27 Pix by candlelight

I learned a lot from this challenge! I learned I could shoot candlelight when it wasn't pitch dark outside and still get a nice 'flame' shot. I also learned to be careful with hot wax...in that I only burned myself once with dripping it onto my fingers.

It was hard for me to capture all flames at the same level of 'burn'....this is the best I could accomplish.

I wanted to have the nearest flame in focus and the distant ones blurred. I cannot, however, explain the terrible grainy-ness on some of my pix. I shoot with high resolution and still can't seem to overcome this. Suggestions are welcome.

Once again, the grainy-ness is killing me in this shot. I was pleased that I could capture the flames without too much white blowout.

These next 2 are mostly for fun.....I realize the candle flame is terribly blown out, but I accomplished the highlights on the frogs which is what I was going for.

I included this one because I captured a flame 'starburst' and I don't even know how I did that :-)

F8, 1/100, ISO 200
I know, this isn't exactly a "night shot"...but it was so pretty, I couldn't help but post it!

 F5, 1/3, ISO 1600

 F9, 15sec, ISO 1600

 F13, 30 sec, ISO 1600

 F29, 30 sec, ISO 1600

F6.3, 10sec, ISO 800......I'd love your suggestions on how I could have made this fountain more "sharp". THANKS.
