2014-15 #1 Things that start with A

 #1 Art in the garden. F4.5 - 1/50 sec - ISO 200 - 18mm focal length

 #2 Architecture in Tarpon Springs.  F7.1 - 1/2000 sec - ISO 200 - 63mm focal length

#3. Anthill. F 7.1 - 1/800 sec - ISO 200 - 149mm
I really wanted to include an anthill since they are so prevalent in FL. I struggled terribly, however, in not being able to get a decent macro shot. I just don't know where I'm going wrong.

 #4 Antique truck and axle. F7.1 - 1/30sec - ISO 200 - 73mm

 #5 Apples. F 10 - 1/8 sec - ISO 400 - 31mm

#6 Asparagus.  F10 - 1/8sec - ISO 400 - 31mm

#7 Anchor. Auto settings since I just couldn't get it right in manual!

#8 Anclote River. F10 - 1/500sec - ISO 200 - 18mm

  1. Hi Lynn,

Think my favorites are #2 and #8. I agree, love the architecture in Tarpon Springs. I also love the river with the old working boats. I didn't even think about the Anchor, and we have one in our front yard! Hope you didn't get into any trouble with the fruits and veggies! I think the ants would have been difficult too. I can wait to hear what our next assignment is. Good Job !

  2. Hey Lynn,
Where else can you get from Anchor to Asparagus in one challenge topic.
#2 I like the perspective and it is so well lit all over, even under the roof above the windows, and the sky isn't washed out. Good job.
#3 Try zooming out all the way and then turn the focus ring to the lowest or closest ft setting in manual focus. Now move the camera and yourself back or forward to focus. I think that's how I get close up with my 400mm.
#5 I like the angle in stead of straight on composition. Good colors and sharp.
#7 Is that anchor safe up there?
#8 Love it. I always like boats in the water. I like the texture of the water. Try to get there when it's glassy smooth.

  3. Great and varied job, Lynn- you are a go-getter with your camera! Love the art in the garden (art and nature just go together), love the contrast in color of your asparagus shot, and really liked the viewpoint of the antique truck shot. I couldn't get ants to pose for me either during the bug challenge and I bet you had a great seafood dinner at Rusty Bellies (the anchor shot?!) My favorite, though, is the shot of the Anclote River- beautiful shot of the unique heritage of Tarpon Springs!

  4. WOW Lynn, I'm going with number 8 as my choice for your best shot....as you know I love ships and the water so that subject and the way you composed it I felt was terrific....makes me want to head your way this winter just for the picture opportunities....and of course to see you and T :-)
