I was trying to show the "sparkle" of the shoes without creating a glare. This is the best I could do. Shooting Manual ~F13~1/10 ss~50mm lens~ISO200
Still trying to get used to my 50mm lens....was outside and couldn't get rid of the glare on the concrete. I thought the floor color so close to the boot color was mildly interesting.

So I brought the boots indoors to my LOL "studio". No flash used - goal was to show the texture of the boot.

This is a bronzed baby shoe that was mine. I decided to go with b&w.

This one is just for fun! I went to our local beach and simply hot this of a tourist's "shoes" ;-)
Fun pics, sparkly shoes is my fave, but then again I really like the bronze shoe too! And I'm just plain jealous about the beach pic being it's 19 degrees right now. Fun assignment!
ReplyDeleteGreat Lynn, you obviously put a lot of thought into this and it really shows....great pics, for reasons you and I know my favorite was the bronzed baby shoe....that just brought back memories :-) but next would be Theron's boot in your studio.....the clarity and texture really showed!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLynn, as soon as I emailed you about everyone's blogs, I found them... Love your pictures- what is it about shoes that make me think they have personalities?! You have animated your shoes with feet in them- very interesting and funny! (I like to take pictures of my feet in interesting places when we go on vacation.) And the bronzed baby shoe is a lovely "portrait" of you- the style of shoe, the hole in the toe, parents that loved you enough to want to memorialize your babyhood. See you in class!
ReplyDeleteOnce again....you have hit the nail(s) on the head! You have uncanny insight....hmmm, must be your talent as well as your artistic abilities!
