Before you even view my dismal offerings this week, allow me to say that this is my LEAST favorite topic....and rightly so, since I'm not good at it at all!! I think I do a fair job of getting 'stop' action shots....but to be able to show the action or movement is just not something I can grasp on my camera settings. I'm happy to take your suggestions.....and ideas for improvement here!!!
#1 bicyclers on the causeway. Obviously they are moving....but I really haven't shown "action" in the shot. I thought I was shooting in shutter priority, but the Properties says this is aperature priority. I don't get that. F 4.0 - 1/4000 sec - ISO 200
#2 Fountain with water movement. On this one, I remembered lessons from last year and took several pictures for myself in aperature priority and then shutter priority. Even I can see the difference in what I took using water movement.
F 25 - 1/6 sec - ISO 200
#3 Swing swinging. The left swing is moving....the right swing is still. I think you can tell that....but once again, a dismal 'action' shot.
F20 - 1/5 sec - ISO 200 shutter priority
#4. Bee gathering nectar. LOL, while at the park I got distracted by something I LIKE to shoot.....so I took this one. I guess is MIGHT show some action, then again, maybe not really!!!
F 8 - 1/100 sec - ISO 200 shutter priority
#5. Wipers moving. F11 - 1/40 sec - ISO 200 shutter priority
#6. Folks on the ball field. I just don't know how to chose settings to get a clearer picture of the boy running and yet not have it just turn out to be a stop-action picture. The whole thing is just a big blur!
F 22 - 1/30 sec - ISO 200 shutter priority
